Requirements
To first get onto the course you need 4 GCSE's at grade C or above. You then have to go for an interview with one of the lecturers to express you're interest in the topic. This can be done by visiting the collge on an open day.

There are a number of grades you can recieve from this course. P = Pass, M = Merit and D = Distinction. I will now go through all the grades you can get:-
After College / End Of Course
After finishing this course, you would be able to go onto higher education (University). There are a number of universities you can go onto, such as Swansea, Cardiff, Glamrogan etc. At university you can study a number of courses to do with ICT. Such as Computer & Information Systems, Networking, Multimedia etc. To go onto university, you have to apply whilst at college. To apply, you go onto the UCAS website and apply from there. You have to write a personal statement about yourself, select your courses you wish to study and personal information. You then pay £15 to send that off to the university's you wish to go to, then you have to wait until they offer you a interview. Whislt you are waiting for them to offer you an interview, you can go along to one of their many open-day's, this would be good because you get to look at the university, talk to some lecturers and the surrounding area. Students who have completedthe BTEC could enter the workplace in any sector where office IT skills are required, or obtain an apprentership as an IT technician or Application Developer.
